Throwback!

One of the things that were part of my childhood memories were funny animated movies and shows I used to watch all the time with my brothers. I liked to watch Mickey Mouse, Curious George, etc. Some of my other favorite shows I used to watch while growing up was watching Spongebob, Phineas and Ferb, and Rugrats. I could name way more. I would always be glued to the screen and watch my favorite shows. I also watched scary movies at night when my cousins would come over the weekend and we would eat popcorn while watching a scary movie. Then at night I wouldn't sleep because I got frightened from the movie and I would think my big teddy bear I always slept with, was a ghost or something and I would throw it and go under my blanket. I remember reading the whole series and watch all the movies from "Diary of A Wimpy Kid" because I was so into the books and movies. I liked the books way more though.  I also remember when I would play Pokémon cards with my cousins, brothers, and friends. I would always carry them with me everywhere I went and would trade and try to collect Pokémons. I still have the books from "Diary of Wimp Kid" and the pokemons inside my drawer and every time I see them, I remember how happy I used to be.

I recall when my siblings and I would always fight for something. We used to fight for the control everyday so we could see our own shows. We never liked each other's shows. We would also fight because we would take each other's things and play with their toys and one of us would always get mad a beat them up. So, we would never get along and always get in trouble. Another memory that was part of my childhood memories was when my parents put me in boxing because I would always hit my siblings for no reason and when my first fight occurred, I remember I said I would change and would be nice with my siblings. I remember this time because I was a troublemaker and didn't care about nothing. One last memory that was important to me in life, was when I loved soccer, it was my favorite sport and remember winning a trophy and a gold medal in 1st place.

Character Analysis Essay

The character I chose from the book The Outsiders, is Johnny Cade because he was a significant character in the book. I learned that he was the most significant character in the book because he was only 16, the smallest in the gang and he delt with hard things in life more than the other characters in the book/movie. He always slept ioutside somewhere such as the parking lot because his parents didn't even care about him. They beat him up and they don't even notice when Johnny leaves the house. He is a "lost puppy that has been kicked too many times" like the book said because his parents don't care about him, and he has been jumped by the Socs. When he is a shy kid, doesn't talk back to people when they talk bout him because he actually never liked fights. He said that fights aren't worth it.

Johnny changed throughout the book by changing his thoughts on dying and appreciating life more because at the beginning of the book, he was a shy quiet kid with lots of things going on in his life that he didn't care whether he died or not. But at the end, when he saved the kids from being burned, he said 16 wasn't enough and don't want to die but also said it was worth saving the kids. It was actually worth it because he died doing something everybody thought he couldn't do.

What I liked most about Johnny was that he saved Ponyboy from getting killed. Ponyboy could've been the one that would die from drowning instead of Bob, the Soc but Johnny killed Bob and saved Ponyboy. I also liked that he saved the kids in the church from getting killed. He went from a lost puppy that has been kicked too many times to a hero and a brave man. What I disliked about Johnny was that he had a rough life, at died at the end. He never got the love and affection from his parents and nobody else except from the gang. What I also dislike about Johnny was that he saved Ponyboy from getting killed from drowning and even saving the kids from getting burned and killed but was the one that died.

The song that would represent Johnny would be "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback because if everyone cared like Johnny's parents, he wouldn't of killed the Soc and wouldn't die. If his parents cared and gave love and advice from the real world and what terrible things can happen in life, nothing would of been happening to him. He wouldn't of kill that Soc or died. He would be a normal kid with lots ahead in his life. But nobody cared but the gang but everybody needs their parents more than anything. In the song it also said if everyone cared, loved, and if everyone shared and swallowed their own pride just like the Greasers and Socs, there would be no violence and fighting. Everyone would be happy and love each other.

Blogging Tips

When I think about blogging tips, I would like to have allot time because I can concentrate and go into a deeper thought in my blog. If I have a lot of time, I can make it sound professional, and make an actual point of something to think about. I can also use metacognition when I use allot time because I can see if I am actually making a good focus on the topic. I can use allot of time to make it have a deep meaning and a porpoise for wiring my blog.

Another blogging tip, is to add pictures and images to my blog. I want it to seem interesting and when the reader is reading my blog, I want them to have a visual understanding on what will be read. I also don't want it to be a plain blog, I would want it to be creative. The pictures or images can make the blog pop out more because the reader may want to read about about it if they see a picture or image that seems interesting to them.

Best Trip Ever

The best trip ever for me would be to go to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It looks so admirable and peaceful. I would also like to meet new people there and see their culture. The first time I ever heard about this beautiful place was in the FIFA World Cup Brazil tournament in soccer. It would show a diverse view of Rio de Janeiro before the game would start and it touched me in some way. I felt like I had to put it on my " Must Go There" list. My dream trip is to go there when I'm older and discover new things. Specifically, it's not a goal to me but a must go. In Rio de Janeiro, it looks very different from here, it has different aspects than the U.S. It has a big fascinating statue representing the city. Rio de Janeiro also has a sea next to it where people enjoy the view and swim. Personally, I would want to go there because I would want to travel around the world not just go to Rio de Janeiro, I want to go out and discover new things in the world. I know there is a lot of wonderful places around the world where people enjoy. That is why I would want to be that person to be happy and travel around the world.

Summer Reading Book

The title of the book is called, "Paper Towns." The author's name is John Green. In the book, Margo Roth Spiegelman goes to Quentin Jacobsen's window one night at midnight since they are next door neighbors at a subdivision called Jefferson Park in Orlando, Florida. They prank and get revenge from all the fake friends and other people that hurt her. Then, sneak into SeaWorld to hang out once again. Quentin is happy to hang out with Margo since he is in love with her. But later that day, Margo disappears. His friends, Ben and Radar and Quentin then start gathering clues. One important clue they found was a highlighted poem called, "Song of Myself" by Walt Whitman. This clue led Quentin to an abandoned minimall. In the minimall, he also finds a map of the U.S. He spends his last few weeks of high school trying to understand and communicate with her from the poem, but nothing yet. Until graduation day, when Quentin realizes he's seen a similar pattern of pinholes. He then makes a comparison between the map he made to try to find her to the one he found in the minimall. He realizes that the pinholes on the wall of the minimall were plotting a map. So he lines up the U.S. map to the pinholes in the minimall. He discovers she is in Agloe, New York, a fictinouos town created by mapmakers as a copyright trap. So, he searches for it on Omnictionary, and discovers someone posted a comment saying, "fyi, whoever Edits this- the Population of agloe Will actually be one until May 29th at Noon." Quentin realizes this was posted from Margo because she is the only person that capitalizes words in middle of sentences. So, Quentin and his friends skip their high school graduation to go to Agloe, NY and find Margo. When they arrive at Agloe, she is not the person they always thought they knew. Margo is mad because they had found her since she wants to know who she really is and start a new life where she will not be a paper girl anymore. So, Quentin lets her go and realizes their story was nothing but a miracle.

The theme of this book is that in life, in order to know who you really are, you have to chase your dreams and goals. Go explore and see what your mind sets you to do. You have to go on a journey or adventure to know what you want in life in order to succeed. In the book, it says, "Traveling, I am finding, teaches you a lot of things about yourself." This quote shows that if you let yourself travel, and see things you've never seen, it makes you understand yourself. Just go to the place where it makes you feel compassionate and free where your mind wants to soar. Go and discover the beautiful world and let yourself be.
